The 2020 Buckwheat Festival has unfortunately been canceled this year due to the unknown future of the COVID-19 virus. the 80th Annual Buckwheat Festival will take place September 30th through October 3rd, 2021.

Due to the COVID -19 the April breakfast is being cancelled. Also at this time the Buckwheat Festival Royalty pageant has been postponed to a later date to be determined.
For the past month, four KVFD firefighters, Ethan Rouzee, Scott Bexfield, Marty Borror and Corey Gowen have been taking classes to become certified in Open Water Diving, and help with the Preston County Dive Team.
